The Capital District Transportation Committee (CDTC) began meeting with the Town of New Scotland to undertake the task of developing new zoning language for the New Scotland Hamlet commercial zone in late 2014. CDTC assembled a team including the Capital District Regional Planning Commission and Albany County to evaluate consultant proposals. The evaluation team chose AECOM, formerly known as URS, based on their extensive experience and expertise in transportation planning, zoning, land use, and public involvement.
A Study Advisory Committee has been chosen and held their first meeting in April 2015. A public workshop will be scheduled for early Fall 2015.
